Your duties

  • Maintain and Ensuring that the FIFA archive is at the highest technical level of the broadcast/media world
  • Managing and co-ordinating all projects related to the FIFA archive system
  • Further development of a next generation FIFA Archive, ensuring an efficient, user friendly system which is geared to the interest of all stakeholders
  • Keeping track of all maintenance cost and contracts with various suppliers
  • Participating and attending fair-shows to ensure that FIFA’s Archive stays in touch with latest broadcast innovation
  • Working closely with FIFA IT, TV, Digital, Studio, Auditorium to ensure and consider cross-divisional benefits
  • Liaising with sales team to ensure a smooth workflow
  • Supervising and transferring knowhow to the picture researchers from a technical perspective

Our requirements

  • Education as technical Audio/Visual engineer, network engineer or equal
  • Proven track record of experience in a Media Archive environment in a technical role, with good knowledge of Archive technologies, particularly LTO-based
  • Expert knowledge and experience of the technical aspects of the media life cycle, from image capturing, editing, encoding to deep-end archiving
  • Expert know-how of technical requirements of Broadcast Industry Standards
  • Good working knowledge of Network Engineering and Cloud Computing Technology
  • Basic editing skills is necessary
  • Familiar with EVS technology and equipment
  • Proficient on both WINDOWS and MAC OS based computers
  • Good knowledge of football in general and FIFA World Cup in particular
  • English language, other languages an advantage
