In 2020, the UEFA EURO will celebrate its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, the tournament will be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area.

The Protocol Officer is responsible to ensure the provision of guest management and protocol services for external stakeholders and guest groups (relating to host, foreign governments, royalty delegations and the participating national teams) for UEFA EURO 2020 in accordance with the established principles.


General duties
* Preparing Protocol invitations;
* Managing and tracking the Protocol government guest lists;
* Coordinating with key counterparts from various stakeholders of the 12 hosts to compile and provide relevant information;
* Setting up and testing the VIP guest registration platform;
* Creating templates for the rest of the Protocol team;
* Helping to produce support material and documents (presentations, newsletters, etc.);
* Producing user manuals as required;
* Liaising with the internal team services and host city projects;
* Planning site visits to the various stadiums for the external guest groups;
* Organising the Protocol meetings in Nyon and at the 12 host cities;
* Producing reports and analysis;
* Ensuring accuracy and timely submission of event statistics;
* Acting as the main contact person in the absence of the Guest Services & Protocol Manager;
* Taking on on-site roles at events delivered by the Guest Management & Protocol team.

EURO tournament time role
* Based at the main coordination centre in Nyon;
* Acting as the main contact person for an assigned number of external guest groups comprising governments and participating teams;
* Following up on any pending information for allocated guest groups;
* Preparing the Protocol guest lists for assigned matches;
* Cooperating closely with the VIP operations team and ensuring the necessary information is delivered to the venue managers;
* Remaining in constant communication with the VIP ticketing team for quotas and seating details.
* Troubleshooting.


Experience required:
- from 1 to 3 years / (sports) event organisation
- from 1 to 3 years / guest management operations and guest services with focus on guest lists and protocol
- from 1 to 3 years / computerised guest management systems such as a CRM

- Bachelor's Hotel management, hospitality or events

- English /
- French /
