To support our Legal & Integrity Division, FIFA is looking to recruit an autonomous and flexible


Head of Professional Football

Your duties                                       

  • Supervising and leading the department with responsibility for operations
  • Establishing the operational procedures in order to maximise workflow efficiency
  • Advising members of the department in complex business situations
  • Engaging with professional football stakeholders and providing a central point of contact
  • Supervising the implementation of the club licensing system
  • Supervising the management of the FIFA Club Benefits Programme
  • Supervising professional football matters in connection with the relationship between member associations and leagues
  • Managing existing budget lines for leagues and clubs
  • Supervising and managing the secretariat function of the Football Stakeholders Committee

Our requirements

  • Master’s degree in law or management
  • In-depth knowledge of the structure and organisation of professional football, in particular regarding the different perspectives and interests of the various stakeholders
  • An understanding of legal governance and the commercial models of professional football
  • At least three years’ experience of complex stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of football’s regulatory and political structure and the way it functions
  • Proficient in English: any additional FIFA language (German, French or Spanish) very desirable
  • High level of identification with FIFA
  • Pragmatic approach with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to accuracy
  • Stamina and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with and motivate a team
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Lateral thinking, ready and willing to take the initiative
