The Project Coordinator is responsible for initiating, planning, executing and monitoring the success of a range of international projects in the UEFA ASSIST programme and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Reporting to the Head of International Relations, the Project Coordinator is a member of the UEFA ASSIST team and is involved not only in overseeing projects but also running them. The main aim of UEFA ASSIST is to help develop and strengthen the global football community by means of: education and knowledge-sharing, development of youth football, infrastructure projects and UEFA member association support.


  • Creating and delivering project work plans, identifying and arranging the resources for international UEFA ASSIST projects;
  • Supporting the Head of International Relations in the delivery of the programme objectives;
  • Working closely with relevant stakeholders within UEFA and third-party providers to fulfil the remit of the UEFA ASSIST programme;
  • Communicating directly with the confederations and associations regarding project approvals, delivery and implementation;
  • With the support of the UEFA ASSIST consultant team, helping to create content for the education and knowledge-sharing projects;
  • Using a project management tool, assigning duties to all UEFA ASSIST staff and consultants;
  • Ensuring project documents are kept up to date and logged in the project management tool;
  • Delivering all projects on time, within scope and within budget;
  • Organising workshops and site visits for events, including logistics and technical set-up.


Experience required:

  • From 4 to 6 years' experience in project management in an international environment


  • University degree or equivalent
  • Additional training in project management


  • English / Proficient
  • French / Proficient
  • Spanish / Working knowledge would be an important asset

  • MS Office / Advanced
  • Pragmatic, communicative, able to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Team player
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Client-orientated with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good knowledge of football world and international business etiquette
  • Preferably work experience in a football environment
  • Readiness to travel
