The EURO 2020 Digital Media Specialist requires excellent technical IT and broadcast know-how and digital media expertise for duties that range from ensuring the integration of digital and TV production workflows, systems operational implementation at the venue/IBC and efficient delivery of next-generation digital media and broadcast solutions and services.

Purpose:

  • Ensuring the technical delivery of digital media services and solutions, including live streaming, mobile applications, second screen, OTT and content delivery platforms;
  • Maintaining a clear focus when designing and implementing the dedicated EURO 2020 solutions;
  • Ensuring the technical delivery of digital media solutions for EURO 2020, including software, hardware, interconnectivity, contribution and distribution workflows and processes leveraging all digital media solutions developed for existing UEFA competitions;
  • Providing the line management with input to build coherent digital solution roadmaps, as well as overall solution concepts, architecture and high-level collaterals;
  • Understanding and analysing requests from digital product management to develop the gathering of comprehensive detailed requirements, e.g. RFP and RFI;
  • Playing a major role in assessing bidders' proposals in call for tender processes;
  • Managing project plans, carefully monitoring partners' developments and reporting to the line manager; Managing professional project acceptance and risk assessment;
  • Ensuring a smooth transition of the solutions developed to the digital operations and product management teams;
  • Providing second-level support for the platforms developed;
  • Analysing operational monitoring and providing maintenance accordingly; Making sure all technical material is up to standard and maintained;
  • Coordinating day-to-day evolutionary maintenance activities;
  • Coordinating with third parties' technological partners under SLA and SLO agreements; Overseeing digital broadcasting projects;
  • Working with in-house managers to ensure appropriate budget estimates and negotiating directly with suppliers on all deliveries.

Requirements:

Experience required:

  • more than 7 years / More than ten years working in a digital broadcasting environment delivering video production workflows, video publication and distribution applications and processes
  • more than 7 years / In an IT or broadcast engineering function working on major sports events
  • more than 7 years / designing large and highly integrated IT architecture solutions

Education:

  • Masters in IT or broadcast engineering

Languages:

  • English / Proficient
  • French / Advanced
