Reporting to the Spectator Experience Manager, the Spectator Services Specialist will support the development of the overall EURO 2020 spectator services strategy. He or she will be responsible for ensuring the spectator services strategy is implemented across the 12 EURO 2020 venues by managing a team of Spectator Services Venue Managers.


  • Supporting the development of the EURO 2020 spectator services strategy, defining the approach to directional support services, information services, language services, services for vulnerable persons, left-luggage services and disability services;
  • Working with the 12 local organising structures and managing the Spectator Services Venue Managers responsible for venue/matchday delivery;
  • Producing guidelines for the training and deployment of the spectator services matchday volunteers;
  • Representing the spectator services team at internal and external meetings, ensuring that the team is integrated into other relevant EURO 2020 projects;
  • Developing best-practice modules and staff training programmes for the spectator services team, as well as for all staff with public-facing roles;
  • Supporting the development of the host city spectator services programme, ensuring a coordinated approach to the management of the EURO 2020 spectator client group;
  • Assisting the Spectator Experience Manager with additional projects, as required;


Experience required:

  • From 4 to 6 years working in an event management role, ideally in a spectator service capacity
  • From 1 to 3 years in project management

A university degree in event management or sports management would be an asset


  • English / Proficient
  • Competency in any UEFA EURO 2020 Host Country language would be an asset

  • Ability to plan activities, maintain efficient filing systems, and meet quality standards and deadlines
