Every year, the UEFA Champions League final showcases the best club football in the world. Every stakeholder expects the best - not only on the pitch, but also in the delivery of the overall event. To ensure that UEFA sets a world-class benchmark for sports event delivery, the UEFA Events and Finals Unit is recruiting an Event Coordinator.

The Event Coordinator provides high-level support to the project leader with preparations for the final, ensuring coordination between venue teams, authorities and local partners, as well as taking care of related administrative work and implementing different projects and processes.


- Identifying and allocating venue facilities to different target groups;
- Updating maps after site visits and/or major changes;
- Coordinating handover and handback processes;
- Coordinating overlay set-up and dismantling plans and updating checklists;
- Identifying internal stakeholder needs inside the venue such as furniture, power supplies, ICT and any special requirements;
- Coordinating site visit schedules and any related logistics;
- Compiling a cover-up document to be shared internally and with the local organising committee;
- Ensuring the local organising committee implements the minimum medical requirements;
- Providing assistance to the local organising committee in terms of spectator services to be implemented/upgraded;
- Drawing up the requirements for disabled access in conjunction with CAFE (Centre for Access to Football in Europe) and the venue itself;
- Coordinating with the Venue Logistics Manager regarding office management (layout, cleaning, access, etc.);
- Supporting the project leader in the overall project management by liaising with internal stakeholders and/or communicating with the local organising committee;
- Developing guidelines for fan choreography, in conjunction with the venue, to be shared with the participating clubs;
- Assisting the finalist clubs in the implementation of fan choreography;
- Assisting the project leader with regard to planning and chairing venue management meetings (pre- and post-site visits, site visits and working visits) and producing meeting minutes/reports;
- Providing all stakeholders with key information about the venue;
- Supervising the use of the petty cash/credit card reserved for the venue management team and keeping accurate records of all expenses using SAP.

The above list is not exhaustive and, depending on specific requirements at the venue, the Event Coordinator may be assigned additional responsibilities. The Event Coordinator must therefore be flexible with regards to their duties and be prepared to take the lead on some tasks, as delegated by the project leader.


Experience required:
- from 1 to 3 years venue management or event management of a major project, preferably a high-profile sports event
- from 1 to 3 years in a multicultural business environment would be an asset

- English / Proficient
- Knowledge of French or any other language would be an asset
