Founded on 14th April 1900 in Paris, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body for cycling. Its
mission is to develop and supervise cycling in all its forms and for everybody, as a competitive sport, as a healthy
recreational activity and as a means of transport and having fun. Additionally, the UCI promotes a number of its own events,
including the UCI Road World Championships, an iconic annual event, and a wide range of other UCI World
Championships and World Cups across the various disciplines. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland, at the UCI World Cycling
Centre.


To support its Digital, Communications, Marketing and Sales Department, the UCI is seeking a:


Digital and Audience Development Manager
English-French
 

Mission :


Reporting directly to the Head of Digital, Communications, Marketing and Sales, the Digital and Audience Development
Manager will have the task of developing audiences across all UCI platforms, building a database of cycling fans/UCI
customers, and managing development projects relating to the UCI’s digital platforms (principally the website www.uci.org
and social media).


Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Implement and lead an audience development strategy on the UCI’s platforms.
  • Define and manage the content creation strategy for the UCI’s digital and social media.
  • Define the UCI YouTube channel strategy and manage it.
  • Manage the data collection and audience insight strategy.
  • Oversee coordination with the Department Head and Managers to ensure publication of corporate communication,
  • brand, and marketing and media activities content.
  • Develop digital brand activation proposals for UCI partners and prospective partners.
  • Transform the UCI’s online store into a genuine revenue stream.
  • Ensure UCI platforms function correctly and are ergonomic and relevant, and set up an action plan to deal with any
  • problems that arise.
  • Ensure UCI events are covered and UCI content is published in accordance with a specific timeframe.
  • Manage day-to-day relations with service providers (technical, video, communications agency).
  • Monitor, analyse, report on and advise on the performance of the UCI website and its various social media accounts.
  • Support internal departments with regard to developments in the digital environment and future opportunities.

Profile:

  • Degree in communication, advertising, PR, media, commerce or other related sectors.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in digital marketing with an agency or rights holder.
  • Basic command of web/mobile programming (HTML) and experience of content management software (CMS).
  • Command of Google Analytics and basic command of Adobe Photoshop and video editing software.
  • Good knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO).
  • Command of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Bilingual (French/English), with excellent speaking and writing skills in both languages.
  • Ability to manage a small team.
  • Team worker with excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to put forward innovative solutions and proactive ideas/concepts.
  • Ability to identify key market trends and translate data into ideas.
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, pay attention to detail, and stick to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Honest, dynamic, flexible and motivated.
  • Knowledge of sports marketing an asset.
  • Foreign travel may be required.
